Children's Choir (2023-2024)
Under the tutelage of Ms. Elena Pineda the Sacred Heart Children's Show Choir consisting of 32 boys and girls, ages 8 to 13, have been invited to sing at the Vatican during the New Year's 2024 holiday. The choir had to submit two audition tapes to the Vatican to be accepted for this unique opportunity and to qualify. After meeting the criteria, which includes singing acapella, these children rose to the challenge.
In order to sing for the Show Choir, the children go through an audition process and are dedicated to singing at Mass on Sundays, after-school practices, and special events. They are devoted to developing their musical talent and they make a commitment to their fellow musicians.
On this musical pilgrimage, in addition to singing at the Vatican, the children will also sing in concerts in Venice and in Florence in Catholic Churches in Italy. The choir will depart the day after Christmas and travel for one week.
