Rotary Leadership Program (2024-2025)
Thousands of young people participate in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Program annually. Young people are chosen for their leadership potential to attend an all-expense paid camp to discuss leadership skills and learn those skills through practice. The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Program is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs where students develop leadership skills while having fun and making connections. The Rotary Club of Coachella East's goal is to offer the participants an incredibly unique opportunity to develop skills and obtain tools that will enable them to understand the needs of their communities further, become influential leaders, and engage in advocacy efforts to leverage critical resources that will improve the lives of the residents of the Coachella Valley. The Program is open to low-income high school juniors and seniors in the Eastern Coachella Valley. The Program also serves as a resource for the participants preparing to transition into higher education.
