Raising Highly Capable Kids (2025-2026)
The Raising Highly Capable Kids (RHCK) program at the Parenting Education Center is a 12-week, research-based parenting course designed to strengthen families by equipping parents with essential skills to support their children's development. Grounded in the 40 Developmental Assets framework, the program helps parents build stronger relationships, increase confidence, and reduce stress through improved communication, structure, and emotional support. Serving families across the Coachella Valley, including low-income, single-parent, and immigrant households, RHCK addresses the critical need for accessible parenting education. With growing demand and limited funding for parent guides and instructional tools, support for this program will allow PEC to reach more families, create more stable home environments, and empower parents to set their children up for long-term success in school and in life.
