Youth Arts Education (2025-2026)
The Plaza Theatre Foundation is launching Arts Teach Kids, an immersive arts-in-education initiative based at the historic Plaza Theatre in downtown Palm Springs. Our mission is to enrich local youth—ages 5 to 18—through theater, music, cinema, and visual arts, cultivating creativity, critical thinking, and cultural literacy in an inspiring arts venue and school settings.
*In-school residencies – Professional teaching artists visit local schools, integrating art-focused workshops directly into existing class curricula, at no cost to districts or families.
*Student matinees & workshops – Plaza-hosted performances tailored for school groups, accompanied by pre-show materials, interactive demos, and post-show artist discussions.
*Masterclasses for educators – Teacher development sessions help integrate creative arts practice into all subjects and leverage theater resources in classrooms.
