Dance Studio Floors & Mirrors (2025-2026)
The Anderson Children’s Foundation funding is helping PDCMS to provide a safe and accessible space for over 200 students who are a part of the current and future dance programs. The floors will be upgraded from hard vinyl tiles to a professional quality sprung floor. This will help prevent injuries to our dancers. The installation of mirrors on the long end of the studio space will provide access for more students to use the mirrors as a self correction tool as well as an opportunity to learn and rehearse. The funding will also allow us to safely replace the current mirrors on the short end of the studio space. There are five dance classes taught in this space daily reaching beginning, intermediate, advanced, and elite levels of dance. We are currently working on plans to expand the program by adding after school dance classes as well. These funds will help provide students of all backgrounds access to a dance space that would normally only be accessible to those from families who can afford private dance classes at local dance studios.
