Extreme Classroom Makeover (2021-2022)
KING’S SCHOOLS is a private non-denominational Christian school servicing approximately 275 Infant/Toddlers, Preschool, Elementary School, and Middle School students since 1994 at 67675 Bolero Road in Palm Springs off of Golf Club Drive and Hwy. 111.
The courageous dedication shown by our faculty and staff to reopen the campus full-time and in-person back in September, 2020, resulted in a renewed passion to meet the unmet needs of students who had their educational rug pulled out from under them due to COVID. Meeting the needs of school-aged children starts with the lay-out and presentation of the classroom.
“Extreme Classroom Makeover” (ECM) will transform our preschool and elementary classrooms into exciting, inviting, attractive, and comfortable age-appropriate environments with new classroom furniture designed specifically to enhance learning, promote discovery, and minimize distractions…specifically for the increasing number of students dealing with focus challenges.

Project Sun Safety (2017-2018)
KING’S SCHOOLS is a private non-denominational Christian school servicing approximately 275 Infant/Toddlers, Preschool, Elementary School, and Middle School students since 1994 at 67675 Bolero Road in Palm Springs off of Golf Club Drive and Hwy. 111.
With the generous grant from the Anderson Children’s Foundation (ACF), “Project Sun Safety” will provide a comprehensive curriculum and professional training on sun safety and the importance of proper skin care. In addition, the grant will allow for the erection of multiple shade structures around the Preschool and Elementary playground, as well as Middle School alcove that will help protect students and staff members from harmful ultraviolet radiation (UVR). Students are in direct sunlight an average of 2.5 – 3 hours per day in a climate where it’s sunny approximately 350 days per year and the sun shines 90% of its available time. This presents a very real risk to students and staff members based on studies that show over 90% of skin cancers are caused by excessive exposure to the sun. Given those statistics, “Project Sun Safety” will not only reduce the risks of skin cancer, but will dramatically lower the number of heat and skin-related illnesses that are caused by excessive exposure to the sun.
“Project Sun Safety” will be taught as part of the PE & Health curriculum with the support of a local dermatologist who will conduct training sessions for staff members, deliver educational instruction to students, and provide practical materials for parents regarding proper skin care and sun protection.
