Fellowship of Desert Athletes

Salton Sea Starlings Volleyball Club (2020-2021)

Fellowship of Desert Athletes gives young ladies and teens an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Volleyball through our Volleyball programs. We run two programs a travel program (Salton Sea Starlings) and a Local program (Angels Volleyball Club). We service young women from kindergarten through the 12th grade. With the help of the Anderson Children’s Foundation Grant, we will be able to provide new outdoor volleyball systems/courts. These systems/courts will be used for camps, practice sessions, and tournament play. We will also be able to provide tournament fee sponsorships to lessen the cost of the travel programs. And finally, much needed sports equipment such as volleyball, carts, and sports training equipment. The Fellowship of Desert Athletes philosophy is simple. Girls who participate in sports:

  • are 92% less likely to get involved with drugs
  • are 80% less likely to have an unwanted pregnancy
  • are three times more likely to graduate from high school

We provide this wonderful outlet for young ladies of the desert to pursue their athletic dreams in a safe and healthy way. Thank you, Anderson Children’s Foundation, for helping maintain the hopes, desires, and dreams of our wonderful young lady athletes.
