Cove Communities Youth Soccer Association

Cove Communities Youth Soccer Association hosts over 1200 players in both recreational and club soccer between the ages of 5 through 17 years of age. Every child who joins gets a soccer jersey, team pictures, and a guarantee of playing at least 50% in the soccer game. We usually receive over 900 children who register and play in our league. Every year, we get dozens of requests from parents who want their kids to play soccer but are not able to afford the $130 registration fee. Our non-profit can accommodate some of these requests, writing off the fee with sponsors, but we hope that we can this year, we can say yes to every request, and even promote scholarships being available. We want kids to socialize, stay active, learn soccer, and potentially move on to more completive leagues that we can offer, but every year, children are not able to play in the league due to the registration fee. Our club league allows kids with soccer talent to move up from the recreational league to play competitively throughout southern California. A grant through ACF will allow those children in low income families to do just that.
